Astellas Prostate Cancer Research Scholarship

The Institut du cancer de Montréal, through the generous support of Astellas Pharma Canada Inc., is pleased to announce the launch of the Quebec-Astellas Prostate Cancer Research Fund Program. The program will support research in areas in urologic oncology that will ultimately advance the long term health outcomes and quality of life of prostate cancer patients. For this2017 competition, it is anticipated that 3-grants of $47,500 each will be awarded.

Eligible Applicants

The primary focus of the Program is to support research in the field of prostate cancer, this program is open to all prostate cancer researchers across the province including but not limited to: surgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, basic science, pathology and imaging. Applications are expected to be collaborative and interdisciplinary. In this round of funding, applications must include at least one researcher/collaborator from the ICM/CRCHUM to be eligible. Successful applicants must agree to have their application shared in confidence with Astellas for internal documentation and auditing purposes and must provide a progress report to the interdisciplinary review committee.

Guidelines for Submission

La proposition de recherche doit être nouvelle, non publiée auparavant et ne pas dépasser 4 pages, avec un maximum de 2 pages supplémentaires pour les figures ou les tableaux.

The research proposal should be novel previously unpublished and not exceed 4 pages, with a maximum of 2 additional pages for figures or tables. The interdisciplinary committee (Address : Institut de Cancer de Montreal, Centre de Recherche du CHUM (CRCHUM), Pavillon R, 900, St-Denis (porte : R10-464) Montréal (Québec) H2X 0A9) must receive the completed application no later than April 1, 2016. The magnitude of the project should match the size of the award; the award is not intended to supplement a major grant, however it is anticipated that this funding may be used to produce data to apply for large/national level grant funding. Documentation received after the submission deadline will not be submitted for review. The applicant is responsible for ensuring completeness of the application and incomplete applications will not be considered. Submission of Study Report: 12 months from Grant Receipt
