Dr. Normand Blais is a haematologist-oncologist and member of the CHUM thoracic oncology team as well as researcher-member of the Institut du cancer de Montréal.
Dr. Blais decided to join business and pleasure by organizing an annual fundraiser in collaboration with the Institut who helped establish the event and manage the funds.
The goal of this event is to support the thoracic oncology program by:
Encouraging the continuing education of both fellows and doctors within the program, while promoting research in thoracic oncology.
Increasing awareness for this program to create better international cooperation between researchers in this field.
In 2016, the 7th edition of this event brought together 115 participants who were able to raise $52,753 net.
